The saga of Aaron Rodgers offseason decision about where (of if) he wants to play football season has finally ended as the controversial quarterback has agreed to sign a 1-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Regardless of whether the Steelers can parlay this into a Super Bowl run is irrelevant; the NFL instantly became more interesting with Aaron Rodgers playing another season.
Doug Gottlieb: “It’s awesome! One of the greatest quarterbacks of our lifetime has committed to playing another year in the NFL for one of the storied franchises…and it doesn’t matter if it does work because if you can’t be great, at least be interesting, and the Steelers are interesting. So, whether or not the Steelers win or lose doesn’t matter to any of us, it definitely doesn’t matter to the NFL, the NFL won today kids.”
