Seahawks re-signing center Ethan Pocic, fullback Nick Bellore

The Seattle Seahawks are re-signing Pro Bowl special teams standout and fullback Nick Bellore and center Ethan Pocic.

The re-signing of Bellore was announced by the team and is reportedly a two-year deal, per Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported the move of Pocic returning to Seattle on a one-year, $3 million deal.

Pocic's re-signing would seem to lock in Seattle's offensive line for the 2021 season after the trade to acquire Gabe Jackson from the Las Vegas Raiders on Wednesday. Pocic, a second-round pick in 2017, saw his first full season of starting at center after the release of Justin Britt after the 2019 season following a torn ACL. Pocic started 14 games at center for the team last year with two games missed due to injury midseason. He wasn't quite the same player when he returned to the lineup after a fairly strong first half of the season.

Pocic at center would be flanked by Jackson and Damien Lewis at the two guard spots and Duane Brown and Brandon Shell at tackle. That would pencil out to be Seattle's likely starting offensive line this fall. Kyle Fuller is back as the backup center and Brad Lundblade - a late season practice squad signing for depth - is also on the roster.

The Seahawks could still look to add a backup tackle through free agency. Cedric Ogbuehi remains a free agent after serving in that role last season with Seattle and could be an option to return to that spot as well.

Bellore ranked fourth in the league in special teams tackles last season in earning a Pro Bowl nod as a specialist for the first time in his career. His 11 special teams tackles trailed George Odum of the Indianapolis Colts (14), Justin Bethel of the New England Patriots (13) and teammate Cody Barton (13).

Bellore's role on special teams is his primary function with the team. He only saw 35 snaps on offense last season in his fullback role, per Pro-Football-Reference.
