Jarran Reed, Shaquill Griffin questionable for Seahawks vs. Rams

Seattle Seahawks v Washington Football Team

RENTON -- The Seahawks have two players listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Rams.

In reality, no one is questionable. Everyone is playing.

Defensive tackle Jarran Reed and cornerback Shaquill Griffin are both officially questionable to play. Reed sustained an oblique strain in last week's win over the San Francisco 49ers.

"He practiced today and he did fine," head coach Pete Carroll said of Reed on Thursday. "We kind of managed him as he got through it to make sure that we're doing the right thing and we feel like he made it through and he's ready to go."

Griffin did not practice on Thursday but Carroll said he is fully expected to play against the Rams.

"It's not related (to his prior hamstring injury). He's just a little bit tight. We just want to give him a day," Carroll said.

Griffin missed four games earlier this year due to a hamstring injury in the team's first meeting against the Arizona Cardinals in October. He returned to the lineup in late November against the Philadelphia Eagles and has started every game since.

Safety Jamal Adams (shoulder/fingers), defensive tackle Bryan Mone (ankle), running back Chris Carson (foot), tight end Greg Olsen (foot) and guard Mike Iupati (neck), weren't listed on the final status report and will play as well. Adams was steadfast with reporters on Wednesday that he would be playing against the Rams.

"No question in my mind, I'm playing man," Adams said. "Look, as long as these legs are moving man, as long as my faith is with the man upstairs, which is very strong, I'm gonna be out there. So there was never no doubt in my mind that I wasn't playing so let's get that out there. I'm full-go."

Adams injured his right shoulder against the 49ers last week after hurting his left shoulder in the first meeting with the Rams in November. But with the chance to play in his first career playoff game, Adams isn't going to miss the contest.

The Seahawks will have their full allotment of players available for their meeting the Rams on Saturday.

Darrell Taylor has a good first week of practice:

Second-round pick Darrell Taylor saw the practice field for the first time this week as he recovers from leg surgery. Taylor had struggled to clear the final hurdles in his rehab process and remained on the team's non-football injury list throughout training camp and the regular season. But the rookie defensive end out of Tennessee made a positive impression on head coach Pete Carroll in his first week of work.

"He's flashed, obviously," Carroll said on Thursday. "We've seen the quickness. Today, I'm anxious to see this film because this was the best day for him. We're kind of ramping him up and today he cut it loose a little bit so I'm anxious to see it, but there's no question that that he belongs out here with these guys."

Carroll said it's still possible that Taylor could see the field for the team this season. It would seem unlikely that would happen this weekend given the roster is at full strength and experimenting in a win-or-go-home game wouldn't seem logical. But if the team keeps winning and the opportunity presents itself, it's a great sign that Taylor is finally getting close to seeing the field with another offseason ahead to build into the 2021 campaign.
