Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Plane Burst Into Flames After Sliding Off Runway

A small plane carrying Dale Earnhardt Jr., his wife, and their one-year-old daughter burst into flames after it rolled off a runway at the Elizabethton Municipal Airport in Tennessee. Everybody on board the plane managed to escape before the fire started.

Nobody was killed in the crash and Carter County Sheriff Dexter Lunceford said the passengers suffered cuts and abrasions. Earnhardt and his family were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Kelley Earnhardt confirmed the crash and Twitter and said that everyone is safe.

"I can confirm Dale, Amy & Isla along with his two pilots were involved in a crash in Bristol TN this afternoon. Everyone is safe and has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. We have no further information at this time. Thank you for your understanding."
